About The Position

The Branch Manager and Relationship Specialist manages the daily activities of the branch operations department. Responsible for client service, new accounts, problem resolution, and account servicing. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Adheres to and enforces Five Star Bank’s policies and procedures.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Manages and trains branch operational staff on daily responsibilities, policies and procedures
  • Determines source and resolution of problems through examination of various documents and records
  • Approves transactions and utilizes signing authority within delegated limits
  • Responsible for using good judgment and bank regulations to report unusual and suspicious activity to the BSA Officer or Designee
  • Responsible for ensuring branch is in balance on a daily basis (i.e. cash recap)
  • Verifies and maintains GL and Bancontrol balances
  • Recommends daily branch NSF/Non-Post item decisions
  • Orders cash for the branch & manages vault cash and Fed shipments
  • Approves (within delegated authority limits) for all customer related requests
  • Audits all new account documentation for accuracy
  • Verifies all completed operations certifications (monthly, quarterly, semi-annually)
  • Assists the RM with documentation needs for new accounts, cash management services, lending products, and day to day documents
  • Assists the RM with daily clients needs such as, but not limited to statement reconciliation, statement requests, address changes, online banking changes, check ordering, debit card ordering and other client needs that may arise
  • Assists the RM with BSA exceptions, new account exceptions, and BO certifications
  • Develops a comprehensive understanding of the client’s needs based on the review and analysis of personal bank business financial data gathered by the RM and BDO
  • Develops and maintains an in-depth knowledge of products and services
  • Maintain compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job function and applies to designated job responsibilities: knowledge may be gained through coursework and on-the-job training
  • Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required annual training
  • Provides practical, relevant ideas and perspectives on processes or process improvement
  • Actively engages, demonstrates, and fosters the Five Star Bank Mission, Vision and Values
  • Complies with all Anti-Money Laundering Laws and Regulations
