About The Position

This role involves ensuring high employee engagement through talent management, development, and career planning. The Branch Manager Advisor will model and coach their team on client advice and education, problem resolution, and prevention at the first point of contact, while advocating for digital enablement and multichannel usage. The position focuses on delivering results through strong routines and coaching, with an emphasis on client education and demonstration, leveraging technology to create a memorable client experience, drive brand value, and retain relationships. The role also includes inspiring and orchestrating superior retailing/hospitality excellence, collaborating with financial planning, retirement planning, home equity finance specialists, and business banking experts to ensure clients receive customized advice, and partnering with management to ensure operational effectiveness and maximize team performance. Additionally, the role involves addressing local community needs through recruitment, management practices, and community advice events.

Requirements

  • Above average digital literacy across a broad range of devices (e.g., smartphones, tablets, laptops, etc.) and can learn new technology very quickly
  • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a relationship management role within the financial industry (i.e. Banking Advisor, Financial Advisor)
  • Experience in a coaching / leadership role, or acting as a mentor to advisors
  • Mutual Funds accreditation (IFIC or CSC) and at least 2 years of licensed mutual fund experience within the last 3 years
  • Completion of an acceptable mutual fund branch management exam (BCO) offered by the CSI or ability to write the exam within 4 months of start date
  • Demonstrated success delivering / coaching to providing advice to clients resulting in strong client relationships and superior business results

  • A post-secondary diploma/degree, ideally in Commerce, Business Administration or related experience
