About The Position

Rexel USA is seeking a Branch Driver to join the PLATT team in Stockton, CA. The Branch Driver I is responsible for delivering products to and from customers, company branch/warehouse locations, and company suppliers using a delivery van or box truck (CDL not required). This role ensures deliveries are prepared efficiently to meet customer requirements, and that materials are correct and undamaged.

Requirements

Must have a valid driver’s license.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must pass a pre-employment and annual review of the Motor Vehicle Record.
Must obtain verification of non-expired medical certificate as required by law within 60 days of hire.
Must not have had a suspended driver's license for a traffic accident/violation within the past 3 years.
Must not have any at-fault accidents in the past 3 years.
Ability to handle loads with a combined weight not to exceed 26,000 GVW.
Ability to handle basic issues and problems.
Strong knowledge of safety regulations and familiarity with traffic and driver laws.
Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws.
Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to meet deadlines.
Excellent customer service skills.
Good attention to detail.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to work overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

In lieu of experience, must attend company driver training.

Responsibilities

Inspect company vehicle for visual and operating defects and complete a daily inspection report.
Maintain vehicle cleanliness, service, and alert supervisor to needed repairs or service.
Adhere to Department of Transportation (DOT), local, and state driving laws and regulations.
Load or unload vehicle, verifying all material for each order is correct (quantity and type) and free of damage before departure.
Assist in preparing orders for delivery.
Ensure all appropriate documentation is completed, including customer signature on delivery receipt, packing list, and branch/warehouse manifest.
Pick up material returns from customers, inspecting condition, verifying quantities, and catalog numbers.
Pick up material from company suppliers.
Perform other job functions within a branch as required, such as counter sales, order preparation and filling, receiving, stocking, staging, shipping material, and maintaining branch equipment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
