About The Position

Summit Truck Equipment is looking for a new Controller to join our talented team of professionals who have a focus on continuous improvement. Our ideal candidate will be someone who is invested in developing their team through delegations, professional development plans, and rolling up their sleeves to support the team. The Controller will be responsible for establishing, maintaining, and improving processes to ensure complete, accurate, and timely financial records. In this role, you will be supporting the Manufacturing, Sales, and Administrative teams. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Hands-on experience with financial reports.
  • Strong analytical, technical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to successfully complete a General Abilities Assessment and pass a post-offer background check, physical and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

  • 10+ years of experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of Netsuite preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic financial leadership and direction to the accounting department, guiding the team in achieving financial goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial statements, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards including bank covenants, governmental regulations, licensing, etc.
  • Implement policies and procedures to comply with changing regulations, coordinate and manage external audits, and provide necessary documentation and responses to auditors.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous development.
  • Collaborate with the sales and production teams to ensure the highest level of client satisfaction.
  • Maintain relationships with various service providers to optimize operational efficiencies. This position will identify key performance measures and work with internal teams and external vendors to drive process improvements.
