About The Position

The Branch Administrator performs clerical and administrative tasks with a high degree of accuracy, including supporting daily sales processing, bank deposits, customer billing, and data entry. This role provides vital backup for branch operations, responds to customer inquiries, and helps maintain positive customer relationships while supporting the team in remaining fully aligned with all regulatory agencies and requirements, including OSHA, FDA, ISO, and Airgas policies.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in industrial operations is a plus.
  • Administrative Certificate from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
  • Basic knowledge of Google Workspace applications.
  • Experience with SAP is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates and support staff alignment with the Airgas Safety Pledge and 12 Life Saving Rules, promoting safe work behaviors and helping the team meet OSHA, FDA, EPA, and ISO regulatory requirements.
  • Partners with and supports the Inside Sales team while delivering excellent CS2 customer service behaviors to all internal and external customers.
  • Consistently maintains administrative, accounting, and DOT compliance paperwork, ensuring accurate coding, costing, pricing, and reliable data entry into systems like SAP and Docuware.
  • Handles essential daily financial workflows, including processing sales tickets, conducting cash reconciliations, and preparing bank deposits.
  • Monitors weekly and monthly operational reports (such as open shipments, purchase orders, invoice simulations, and lease renewals) to keep branch workflows moving smoothly.
  • Collaboratively tracks inventory levels, coordinates liquid and gas cycle counts, and helps navigate product shortages or outages.
  • Assists with administrative tasks including routing incoming mail, conducting limited record research, preparing monthly safety meeting materials, and completing SMS manual checklists.
