SUMMARY OF POSITION: Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, the Brake Press Setup/Operator sets-up and operates brake presses and punch presses to form and bend a variety of materials. Responsible for part quality and efficiency.

Requirements

Good math skills; Basic reading & writing skills
Regular attendance is required; punctual, dependable
Strong attention to detail
Regularly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle or touch objects, tools, or controls
Vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision & depth perception
Occasionally required to sit, reach above shoulders, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
Ability to work overtime when required

Responsibilities

Set-up, adjust, and operate brake press and punch press to form, bend and punch a variety of work
Set-up dies and gauges, adjust ram stroke to form materials to proper angle and radii
Work from drawings, specifications, patterns, or templates
Use scale, protractor, fixed angle and radii gauges
Sorting and packaging parts
Verify quantity & quality of material
Moves raw material to and from production areas as necessary
Operates overhead crane while moving product
Responsible for strict adherence to all company/departmental policies and procedures related to safety and conduct
Other duties as assigned or required
