About The Position

Apply metal to customer orders and accurately process material according to the work order specifications. Ensure that processing equipment is maintained in a safe and clean condition. Maintain processing area in a clean, safe and orderly manner. Complete all required information entry accurately. Perform any other tasks as assigned. Machine is hydraulic brake press. Programs for parts are input directly to the machine by the operator based on the blueprint. Setup & Operation: Preparing the machine by loading tools: punches and dies specific to the job requirements. Create the programs for the bends using bend deductions, drawing information for various angles and offsets. Quality Control: Inspecting finished parts for accuracy and adherence to specifications, making adjustments as needed. Basic blueprint reading, first-off inspections and in-process inspections. Main tools needed are tape measure and calipers. Maintenance: Performing routine basic maintenance check on the machine to keep it in good working order, including cleaning and lubricating parts, reporting issues immediately to the supervisor. Technical Skills: Understanding of machining processes, blueprints, and technical drawings. Attention to Detail: Ability to spot errors and ensure high-quality production standards. Requirements

  • Following safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Use of Safety glasses, High visibility vest, Hard hat, Safety shoes with metatarsal guarding, Gloves (cut resistant, cotton, nitrile), Sleeves (cut resistant).
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs maximum.
  • Possess a high school diploma/ GED.
  • Ability to read and write English and perform basic Math.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
  • Safety Mindset.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous warehouse experience - especially in the metals industry.
  • Previous forklift experience.
  • Use of handheld measuring tools.
  • Computer literate.
