Brake Press Operator - 2nd Shift
About The Position
FabriFast, part of the Arise Industrial Manufacturing family, is seeking a Brake Press Operator for their 2nd shift. This role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining brake press machines to bend, shape, and form metal sheets according to specifications. The operator will be responsible for reading blueprints, selecting appropriate tooling, adjusting machine settings, and ensuring precision and quality control. Following safety procedures, inspecting finished parts, and making necessary adjustments are also key aspects of the job. Ideal candidates will have experience in metal fabrication, machine operation, and a strong attention to detail.
Requirements
- Good communication skills, multi-tasking skills and careful attention to detail.
- Understanding of the basics of brake press tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and job packets.
- Proficient in the use of tape measures, protractors, calipers, and other measuring tools necessary to perform job.
- Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
Responsibilities
- Operate and set up brake presses
- Ensure compliance with company safety and quality standards
- Unload and package finished parts
- Measure completed workpieces to verify conformance to specifications, using micrometers, gauges, and calipers
- Read work orders or production schedules to determine specifications, such as materials to be used, locations of cutting lines, or dimensions and tolerances
