About The Position

The Village Companies – MCL Industries Division (Fabrication) is seeking a Brake Press Operator for their second shift. This role is responsible for forming different substrates of sheet metal, including shaping metal, maintaining the press brake, reading blueprints, completing inspections, packaging, lifting, and moving parts and inventory. The operator will also use a forklift and follow safety regulations. The Village Companies is a family-owned organization that designs, builds, and delivers innovative products and experiences. MCL Industries specializes in machining, fabrication, assembly, and full production runs, partnering with customers to deliver precision-built solutions in Pulaski, Wisconsin.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Press brake experience is required
  • Understanding of how to read blueprints
  • Computer skills
  • Knowledge of manufacturing basics
  • Ability to follow direction
  • Flexible and can quickly adjust to change
  • Basic use of inspection tooling (tape measures, calipers, etc)
  • Good math skills
  • Knowledge of different types of material
  • Be able to lift at least 25 lbs. and up to 75 lbs. throughout the day
  • Sit, stand, and bend throughout the workday

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe working conditions are being maintained in your area.
  • Participate in implementation of safety projects when asked.
  • Minimize hazardous wastes from processes, continually seeking alternatives.
  • Adhere to product verification systems in place throughout build process.
  • Understands preventative and corrective actions and adheres to them.
  • Promote teamwork, communicate effectively, and provide feedback on progress to your Team Leader.
  • Adhere to company policy and ensure procedures in place are followed.
  • Troubleshooting and problem solving to resolve any equipment or technical issues.
  • Adhere to technical and quality standards put in place by Team Leader.
