About The Position

Steel and Pipe Supply is hiring a Brake Press Processing Specialist for its 1st Shift team at the Tulsa Service Center. The role involves operating brake press equipment to form and bend steel, processing custom orders, checking measurements and quality, and preparing finished material and customer orders. The position is hands-on in a fast-paced industrial environment and includes working with steel products and production documents. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with overtime opportunities. Starting pay is $20.00 per hour or higher based on experience.

Requirements

Previous experience operating a brake press to form steel.
Valid driver's license.
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to read and accurately use a tape measure, caliper, and micrometer.
Ability to read and understand prints, drawings, and production documents.
Basic computer skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Dependability and a safety-conscious approach.
Willingness to work in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per day.
Ability to frequently lift, push, or pull material weighing up to 51 lbs.
Comfort working in dirty industrial conditions and with changing temperatures and the elements.

Responsibilities

Operate a brake press to form and bend steel according to specifications.
Read and understand prints, drawings, and production documents.
Measure and verify finished parts using a tape measure, caliper, and micrometer.
Stage and process custom-ordered production parts.
Inspect completed parts for accuracy and quality.
Clean and prepare processed material.
Keep produced parts organized and accounted for.
Stage finished material in the correct location.
Assist with packaging completed customer orders.
Follow company procedures and safety requirements.
Maintain an organized and productive work area.
Work with team members to keep production moving efficiently.
