About The Position

Seats Incorporated is seeking CNC Brake Press Operators for its 1st Shift at its manufacturing facility in Chariton, Iowa. The company manufactures products through metals stamping, laser cutting, forming, turning, and tube cutting. Its products support vehicle seating applications in on-highway trucking, construction, railroad, lawn and turf care, fire trucks, military vehicles, and other markets. The position focuses on setting up and operating CNC machines for production while maintaining quality and meeting production schedules. Weekends are off.

Requirements

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Working knowledge of metal materials.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to read gauges and other measurement tools to ensure tolerances.
• Experience or skill in CNC programming is preferred.
• Material movement and computer experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines for production.
• Adjust programs as needed to maintain tolerance.
• Verify that work pieces conform to specifications before and after processing.
• Perform daily machine startup and shutdown procedures.
• Stage raw materials for the day's production.
• Monitor machine operations.
• Follow the production schedule as directed by the Supervisor.
• Assist with loading and unloading machines when production requires.
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions.
