About The Position

Wedlake Enclosure Systems is hiring Brake Operators to join our growing manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate and set up press brake equipment to bend and form metal components according to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards. Successful candidates are safety-minded, detail-oriented, and committed to producing high-quality work in a fast-paced production environment. Requirements

  • 2–4 years of fabrication, manufacturing, or press brake experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
  • Proficiency with measuring and inspection tools.
  • Basic understanding of metal forming principles and fabrication processes.
  • Ability to perform machine setups and make basic adjustments.
  • Strong attention to detail, quality workmanship, and safety.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience operating CNC press brake equipment is a plus.
  • Experience in metal fabrication or heavy manufacturing environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate press brake equipment to form and bend metal components according to specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, work orders, and manufacturing instructions.
  • Select appropriate tooling and perform machine setups for assigned production jobs.
  • Verify dimensions and tolerances using measuring and inspection tools.
  • Inspect completed parts to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Maintain production schedules while meeting quality and throughput expectations.
  • Perform routine machine checks and basic preventive maintenance tasks.
