About The Position

Braider Operator Full-time Mansfield, TX Exclusive confidential search — details shared with qualified applicants. Become a Key Player as a Braider Operator You will operate and maintain braiding equipment to produce high-quality braided hose components that meet manufacturing specifications. In this temp-to-hire role you will impact production output and product quality, reporting to the Value Stream Team Leader and working closely with Maintenance. Onsite, 3rd shift (11:30 PM – 7:30 AM), Monday–Friday; overtime is mandatory.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read work orders and interpret manufacturing specifications.
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use/interpret measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, pi tape).
  • Good math, reading, and writing skills; good verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain continuous mental, visual, and audio attention and to work well in a team.
  • Able to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks (lifting, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing).
  • Must pass pre-employment screening.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior production or manufacturing experience.
  • Basic knowledge and regular use of hand tools.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate NEB, OMA, and TMW 24/36 braiders according to manufacturing specifications (braid ring height, tube guides, deck/puller gear, bobbins, carriers).
  • Pull tooling and materials per manufacturing specs and track material usage in WW3 system and Braider Logs.
  • Inspect tooling and mark defects/new preforms with the correct tape color.
  • Measure and record OD and pitch on Hose Process Chart (SPC) and run product through wash tank for inspection.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly work area and follow 5S practices and safety regulations.
  • Monitor machine sounds and performance to identify issues and report production problems to the Direct Lead.
  • Perform work at or below your classification and participate in Lean/continuous improvement activities.
