About The Position
Empire High School is seeking an Assistant Boys Soccer Coach to support the head coach in developing and mentoring student-athletes. Responsibilities include assisting with practices, game preparation and strategy, teaching fundamental soccer skills, promoting sportsmanship and teamwork, maintaining a safe environment, and supporting the overall goals and culture of the boys soccer program.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of the sport’s fundamentals, rules, and strategies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to foster a positive and inclusive team environment.
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
- Must pass a background check as required by the school district.
Nice To Haves
- Prior coaching experience at the high school, club, or collegiate level.
- Previous experience as an assistant coach.
- Knowledge of strength and conditioning principles.
- Experience with student-athlete development programs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective training programs to enhance player performance and team success.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to student-athletes, emphasizing sportsmanship, discipline, and teamwork.
- Organize and supervise team practices, conditioning programs, and game strategies.
- Promote academic achievement and ensure players adhere to eligibility requirements.
- Represent Empire High School with professionalism in the community and in interscholastic competitions.
- Ensure compliance with Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA) rules and school policies.
