About The Position
Blue Ridge Unified School District will have the following position available for the 2025-2026 School Year: Boys Head Basketball Coach at Blue Ridge High School. While our teams have been successful, we value sportsmanship and academic success above all else. The coach MUST be an advocate for the multiple sport athletes and encourage their players to participate in more than one sport. All applicants will be considered.

- Three (3) Letters of Recommendation
- Copies of all college transcripts
- IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (if you possess one)
- Teaching Certificate (if you possess one)
- Yearly plan of action for the program
- Specific outline of your supervision methods, practices and procedures
- First Aid & CPR certification (required upon hire)
- NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching certification (required upon hire)
- NFHS Concussion in Sports certification (required upon hire)
- NFHS Sport Specific – Basketball certification (required upon hire)
- NFHS Sportsmanship certification (required upon hire)
- NFHS Heat Illness Prevention certification (required upon hire)
- NFHS Creating a Safe and Respectful Environment certification (required upon hire)
- NFHS Engaging Effectively with Parents certification (required upon hire)
Responsibilities
- Advocate for multiple sport athletes.
- Encourage players to participate in more than one sport.
- Develop and implement a yearly plan of action for the program.
- Outline supervision methods, practices, and procedures.
