About The Position
This is a supplemental position for a Head Coach for Boys & Girls Tennis. The position requires a standard high school diploma or GED. Florida State Statute mandates that all high school coaches hold a valid Florida Educator Certificate. Applicants who do not hold a valid Florida Educator Certificate will be required to obtain an Athletic Coaching Certificate from the Florida Department of Education. The coach must have knowledge of the sport and the ability to impart this knowledge. The advertisement window is from 07/01/2026 until filled. This is a temporary/subs classification.
Requirements
- Standard high school diploma or satisfactory completion of any General Education Development (GED) Testing Program.
- Must hold a valid Florida Educator Certificate (or obtain an Athletic Coaching Certificate from the Florida Department of Education).
- Knowledge of the sport and the ability to impart this knowledge.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of the activity and be able to impart this knowledge to the participants (for Assistant Coach role, but applicable to Head Coach).
- Computer skills as required for the position (for Assistant Coach role, but applicable to Head Coach).
Responsibilities
