Boys Basketball Coach
About The Position
For more than 40 years, San Diego Jewish Academy has been a leader in education as a pluralistic preschool - 12th grade school serving the Jewish community on our beautiful 56- acre campus. Student athletes are inspired to embrace creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurial thinking in their learning, shaping them to become leaders of integrity, social responsibility, and architects of change. The Coach will be responsible for, or assist with, coaching and developing the skills of the team. The coach will be expected to create and implement practice plans, develop game strategies, and provide guidance and support to the cheer team members. The coach will also be responsible for ensuring the safety of the players during practices and games and other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.
Requirements
- 2-5 years' experience coaching at the club, middle, high school or college level
- CPR/First Aid certification required
- NFHS Concussion in Sports Certificate required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate and encourage team members
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Responsibilities
- Create and implement practice plans
