About The Position

East Ridge Middle School is seeking a Boys’ Assistant Soccer Coach who is passionate about supporting student-athletes and helping build a positive, competitive soccer program. The assistant coach will work alongside the head coach to support practices, games, player development, teamwork, sportsmanship, and academic expectations. We are looking for someone who builds strong relationships with students, works collaboratively with coaches and staff, and models The Pioneer Way—Respectful, Responsible, Resilient, and Ready.

Requirements

• Completion of the NFHS “Fundamentals of Coaching” course.
• Completion of the NFHS “First Aid, Health, & Safety for Coaches” course.
• Completion of the "NFHS Heat Illness Prevention" course.
• Completion of the NFHS COVID-19 Course.
• Possession of a Concussion Certificate.
• Possession of a Sudden Cardiac Arrest Certificate.

Nice To Haves

• Successfully completed the ASEP Coaches Education Course prior to May 15, 2013.

Responsibilities

• Non-faculty Coaches and Classified Employee Coaches must complete the NFHS “Fundamentals of Coaching” and “First Aid, Health, & Safety for Coaches” courses prior to assuming the position.
• Coaches who have successfully completed the ASEP Coaches Education Course prior to May 15, 2013, will not be required to take the NFHS courses.
• School Level AD should keep concussion Certificate- Copy on file every year.
• School Level AD should keep Sudden Cardiac Arrest Certificate- Copy on file every year.
• When applicable, completion of "Fundamentals of Coaching"- Copy on file.
• When applicable, completion of "First Aid, Health, & Safety"- Copy on file.
• When applicable, completion of “NFHS Heat Illness Prevention” course- Copy on file every year.
• All Coaches must complete the NFHS COVID-19 Course.
