Boxing Instructor, Berkeley
About The Position
Equinox's locations in Berkeley are currently seeking Boxing Instructors. The position entails delivering the Equinox Experience to members in each class, adhering to the class description, and modifying intensity for participants as necessary. Instructors will continuously monitor exercise intensity throughout the class, ensure classes begin and end on time, and teach respective classes on a regular basis with minimal subbing. Communication with the Group Fitness Manager regarding member feedback, equipment and operational status, scheduling, and subbing is also a key responsibility. This is not a complete description, and certain responsibilities may additionally be presented along the course of employment.
Requirements
- Must possess a current certification in their discipline
- Have experience teaching
- Must possess and maintain current CPR/AED certification
- Must be well-versed in basic anatomy, kinesiology, contraindicated exercises, exercise modifications for all populations
- Must be eager to learn and continue professional development and education
- Must be friendly, vibrant, and outgoing; and energetic
Responsibilities
- Deliver the Equinox Experience to our members in each class
