About The Position

The Box Maker is responsible for receiving raw materials and purchased items, constructing shipping boxes to specification, maintaining inventory of supplies, completing required documentation, and ensuring a safe and organized work environment. This position supports the efficient operation of the production department through teamwork and the performance of additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to stand, bend, pull, push, and reach throughout the workday.
Ability to lift up to 60 pounds safely and repeatedly.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to operate hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

Receive, inspect, and organize raw materials and purchased items used in company operations.
Select and cut lumber and assemble shipping boxes according to customer and shipping specifications.
Maintain accurate inventory levels of supplies and consumable materials required for box-making and receiving functions.
Request or reorder supplies as needed to support uninterrupted operations.
Complete all required paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
Safely operate and maintain proficiency with tools and equipment required for the position.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company safety standards.
Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment associated with box-making and receiving activities.
Assist with other production and warehouse duties as assigned to support department operations.
