The purpose of the support services campus is to eliminate obstacles and provide support to help our entrepreneurs succeed. Support service employees assist entrepreneurs in achieving their dreams through finance, accounting, IT, and other back-office operations. Position Summary: The job of the Box Truck Driver was established for the purpose/s of coordinating and participating in the receipt, storage, loading and unloading, delivery, and inventory of materials; ensuring specifications, quantity and quality of orders are correct; verifying stock and identifying losses; and ensuring safe operation of vehicles.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License ( CDL B)
- Clean driving record
- Adhering to safety practices
- Preparing and maintaining accurate records
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Responsibilities
- Drives vehicles for the purpose of transporting orders and materials to designated sites.
- Loads delivery vehicles for the purpose of ensuring that all items and supplies are properly secured.
- Maintains various files and records (Bill of Lading, Delivery Documents) for the purpose of documenting activities, and providing materials and reliable resource information.
- Maintain and inspect vehicles (e.g. checking fluid levels, fueling, cleaning, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring safe operation of vehicle.
- Participates in physical inventories for the purpose of verifying stock and identifying losses.
- Prepares orders by pulling from stock for the purpose of meeting delivery requirements
- Receives stock and non-stock items for the purpose of ensuring specifications, quantity and quality of orders are correct and/or inspecting items for damage.
- Stocks equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining required inventory levels.
- Load and unload items for the purpose of distributing shipment to assigned site locations and/or individuals.
- Deliver products to customers in a safe, timely and courteous manner
- Coordinate with customers prior to delivery and when delivering to determine placement of product
- Follow all State/Federal DOT regulations and safety standards
