About The Position

TOMRA is seeking a Box Truck Driver for its Farmington, New York location to transport used beverage containers and store supplies safely and on time. No CDL is required. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pay is $21.00 per hour, plus overtime.

The driver operates a box truck, handles delivery and pickup documentation, loads and secures cargo, stays in contact with dispatch, and maintains travel and cargo logs in accordance with federal and state regulations. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Box Truck Driver.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Satisfactory driving record.
• Familiarity with GPS devices.
• Ability to lift heavy packages weighing 50 pounds or more.
• Availability to occasionally take weekend shifts.
• Polite and professional disposition.
• Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations, such as rush hour.
• High school diploma.

Nice To Haves

• Potential or opportunity to obtain a CDL license through paid training.

Responsibilities

• Operate a box truck to transport cargo to and from specified destinations.
• Prepare, receive, and provide appropriate documentation for delivery or pickup of goods to ensure timely service.
• Load, secure, and unload cargo.
• Maintain radio or telephone contact with the dispatcher to receive delivery or pickup instructions and notice of schedule changes.
• Maintain logs of travel and cargo according to federal and state regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
