We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Box Truck Driver to transport goods, including hazardous materials, to various locations. The ideal candidate is expected to possess a valid CDL Class A or B license with a Hazmat endorsement, demonstrating a commitment to safe vehicle operation and adherence to all transportation regulations. This role requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.

Requirements

Valid CDL Class A or B license with Hazmat endorsement.
Working knowledge of DOT regulations and OSHA guidelines.
General knowledge of vehicle inspection procedures.
Ability to lift and maneuver heavy objects.
Excellent communication skills in English.
Ability to operate a commercial vehicle safely and efficiently.
A good driving record, demonstrating safe driving practices.

Nice To Haves

Experience in transporting hazardous materials.
Prior experience in customer service roles.
Familiarity with loading and unloading procedures.
Experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs).

Responsibilities

Safely operate a box truck, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
Transport hazardous materials, ensuring compliance with all DOT and OSHA regulations.
Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any mechanical issues.
Load and unload cargo, utilizing proper techniques to prevent damage and ensure safety.
Provide excellent customer service, interacting professionally with clients and vendors.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs and manifests.
Communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members using the English language.
Maintain a good driving record, demonstrating responsible driving behavior.
Handle cargo with care, demonstrating fine motor skills during loading and unloading.
Assist with warehouse duties when time allows.
