About The Position

USAgain is seeking a 2nd Shift Driver Service Representative in Mount Vernon, NY. This role involves delivering and swapping TreeMachines and carts, running local routes to service USAgain collection bins, and transporting collected materials to the warehouse for processing. The position requires safe operation of a box truck, handling of materials, and addressing site-specific issues. It offers flexibility and variety, demanding attention to detail, effective communication, and adaptability while maintaining safe and efficient operations. This is a physically demanding role requiring consistent physical exertion, including lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • 3-5 years of experience driving an 18' to 26' box truck for pick-ups or deliveries
  • No driving accidents in the past 3 years
  • No more than two tickets in the past 3 years
  • No DUIs in the past 7 years
  • Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Capability to twist, bend, and engage in repetitive physical movements throughout the day
  • Flexibility to work hours based on business needs
  • Ability to read and comprehend memos, reports, and a variety of instructions in written, oral, and schedule forms
  • Knowledge of safety protocols in both driving and physical work environments
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening
  • Basic computer skills
  • This position is highly labor-intensive and requires consistent physical exertion throughout the day. Candidates should be prepared for a physically demanding role that involves lifting, bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods as part of daily responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Safely drive a box truck to service TreeMachines and Drop Spots, collecting materials and delivering them to the warehouse.
  • Ensure timely delivery and exchange of bins and carts at customer sites as required.
  • Efficiently unload and organize collected materials upon returning to the warehouse.
  • Manage overflow pick-up tasks as necessary, ensuring all materials are gathered promptly.
  • Address site-specific issues, including bin repairs, repositioning, graffiti removal, and bin removal as needed.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure the box truck is safe and operational.
  • Support warehouse operations, including material organization and general assistance to the team.
