About The Position

Singer Equipment, the largest foodservice equipment and supplies distributor in the mid-Atlantic region, is hiring experienced full time local Day Shift Driver/ Warehouse Worker to join their warehouse team. This position offers LOCAL routes only and NO Weekends!

Requirements

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb, kneel, reach, squat and bend during an assigned shift.
Clean driving history.
Pass DOT Medical and Physical Examination and other clearances.
Excellent Customer Service and communication skills.
Safety oriented.
Able to follow predetermined routing/directions.
Works well in a team environment and with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Drive/operate box truck to transport orders between customer locations.
Manually handle equipment from pallets and load to hand truck to transport customer orders into the facility.
Utilize pallet jack to move pallets of product to and from truck to delivery location.
Communicate with customer and/or supervisor using handheld devices.
Conduct daily inspection of truck prior to departure and arrival.
Manually break down freight and receive into computer system.
Put away product utilizing powered industrial equipment.
Perform tasks in a safe manner and comply with company policies and procedures.
Proactively identify and report workplace hazards.
Assist with warehouse activities when a delivery route is not scheduled.
