About The Position

Meyer is seeking a dedicated and experienced Box Truck Driver / Warehouse Operator to join their growing, family-owned and operated company. The Shuttle Driver and Warehouse Operator is responsible for loading and unloading trucks, stocking products, pulling stock, and staging products for shipping, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. The company emphasizes safety, reliability, and service excellence, and values employees as family.

Requirements

• Minimum one (1) year of experience operating 26–28 ft. box trucks or any other commercial motor vehicle over 10,001 lbs. is preferred.
• Manual/stick shift driving is preferred.
• Possession of a valid truck IN driver’s license and 2 For Hire endorsement.
• Willingness to submit to drug screening and background checks.
• Must maintain a valid DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
• Clean driving record with no recent moving violations; must remain insurable under standard insurance market rates.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to perform repetitive bending and lifting.
• Previous warehouse experience.
• Must obtain forklift and manlift certification within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads trucks.
• Stocks products in appropriate locations.
• Pulls stock and stages products for shipping, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Drives manual box trucks from company building to company building throughout the day.
• Uses scanners to place parts in proper bins and pulls orders.
• Stocks parts on racks in proper location.
• Fills orders from warehouse stock and distributes items to shipping or to designated route driver/customer pick-up staging area.
• Operates a forklift and manlift equipment.
• Places product on pallets and wraps it in film and bands it using banding equipment.
• Assists in counting and reconciliation of physical inventory.
• Keeps warehouse and work area clean and organized at all times.
• Moves products manually and with the assistance of a forklift and manlift.
• Loads trucks and secures product.
• Transfers product.
• Drives a Box Truck.
• All other duties as assigned.
