Box Truck Delivery Driver - Auto Parts - No Weekends
About The Position
Fenix Parts is seeking reliable, skilled Delivery Drivers to support demand at its nationwide auto recycling business. Drivers make home-daily delivery routes, plan schedules based on customer needs, safely load and unload automotive parts, inspect their assigned box trucks, interact professionally with customers, collect payments, and complete route paperwork. Drivers represent the company and are expected to provide courteous, professional service while following safety procedures and delivery schedules. The role offers a Monday-through-Friday day shift with no weekends, competitive compensation with growth potential, benefits, and advancement opportunities. The position involves frequent physical activity, including loading and unloading automotive parts at customer locations.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of professional driving experience operating 20-foot box trucks or similar vehicles.
- A safe driving record, with no more than 1 accident and no more than 2 moving violations on the motor vehicle record within the past 3 years.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds throughout the day and handle high-volume physical activity during deliveries.
- Ability to identify various automotive parts.
- Proficiency with PCs, tablets, and smartphone mobile apps.
- Valid driver's license with no major restrictions.
- Upon hire, submit a valid driver's license, MVR authorization form, valid DOT medical card or ability to obtain one, driver employment application, and safety performance history report.
Responsibilities
- Manage home-daily delivery routes and plan daily schedules based on customer needs.
- Safely load and unload automotive parts, follow safety protocols, and prevent freight damage.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the assigned box truck.
- Deliver parts accurately, collect payments, present bills and receipts professionally, and assist customers as needed.
- Complete and submit required paperwork neatly and accurately at the end of each route.
- Maintain a neat, clean, and professional appearance and wear company-approved apparel and required personal protective equipment.
- Keep assigned vehicles clean and organized, inside and out.
- Greet customers courteously and treat customers and coworkers respectfully.
- Safely load, secure, and handle products to prevent damage or injury.
- Remain calm and professional, and do not argue with customers or coworkers.
- Follow delivery schedules and promptly notify dispatch of delays.
