Box Truck Delivery Driver - Hall Nissan
About The Position
Hall Nissan in Virginia Beach has expanded its Automotive Parts delivery region and is looking for a Box Truck Driver to drive a daily route between Hampton Roads and the Richmond area. This is a Monday through Friday position, with hours from 8:30 AM to 4 PM. The position pays $18/hour. The Parts Driver will be responsible for transporting automotive parts to different locations using a company vehicle while obeying all federal and state traffic laws and safe daily practices. This individual will communicate at a high level to both internal and external customers to drive a high level of customer service.
Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License, with 2 or fewer moving violations in last 3 years and ALSO no major violations (DUI, reckless driving) in last 3 years
- Minimum 1-year experience driving a box truck
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Self-Starter with proven ability to seek out new ways to build opportunities for the dealership and customer satisfaction
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
- Basic MS Office knowledge; computer software, internet proficiency and general mathematics skills
Responsibilities
- Picks up and delivers parts and equipment to customers, satellite stores, wholesale accounts, and vendors
- Verifies that invoice matches purchase order for each pick-up and checks for payments
- Keeps an accurate log of daily deliveries, pick-ups, payments and COD’s
- Advises Parts Manager if delivery trucks need major repairs and maintenance
- Assists service department as needed with attendant responsibilities of managing the drop-off and pick-up of customers' cars
