About The Position

Oaklawn is seeking a talented individual to join their team as a Box Seat Service Bartender. This role involves serving guests at front bars, fulfilling drink orders for the dining room, managing the cash drawer, and performing alcohol inventories. The ideal candidate will maintain a friendly and professional image, provide superior customer service, and ensure guest satisfaction. This position may involve various duties as assigned and requires adherence to company policies and procedures.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
One or more years of beverage service in a high-volume, fast-paced environment required.
One or more years of guest service experience required.
Must be able to handle several projects and tasks at the same time.
Must be able to perform the physical job duties of all Food & Beverage team members.
Must have the ability to interact with guests, staff and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
Employee must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
Must successfully complete R.S.A.

Nightclub experience preferred.
Casino experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Serving guests at front bars and fulfilling drink orders for the dining room.
Monitoring the cash drawer at the bar.
Performing alcohol inventories at the end of each night to maintain proper inventory levels.
Enthusiastically supporting, actively promoting, and demonstrating superior customer service.
Maintaining strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.
Providing impeccable guest service.
Observing and reporting any and all unsafe behavior displayed by internal and external guests.
Greeting and seating guests, presenting menus, and informing them of promotions and specials.
Preparing and pouring drink orders with proper portions and ingredients according to recipe.
Communicating with beverage servers and presenting drinks to guests or servers.
Ensuring the bar is adequately stocked throughout the shift.
Completing all assigned opening and closing checklists.
Operating a cash register/POS System, ringing proper amount into the register, and accounting for all cash and charge sales.
Checking out with leadership before leaving shift.
Performing all job duties in a safe and responsible manner, including keeping areas clean and free of safety hazards.
Observing tables and keeping track of clean, dirty, and occupied tables.
Taking guest information and quoting wait times accurately.
Cleaning, organizing, and stocking menus at the host area.
Answering the phone and answering questions concerning the menu and restaurant.
Interacting with guests as they arrive and leave to ensure a positive dining experience.
Ensuring waiting and foyer areas are kept clean.
Acting as cashier as needed or assigned.
May be assigned to various venues throughout the property depending on business needs.
