About The Position

This role involves operating a box making machine and performing material handler duties within the Box Room. The individual will be responsible for understanding product codes and packaging requirements, setting up and adjusting equipment, completing paperwork, and potentially using CFS labeling/scanners. Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the work area and packaging materials is crucial. The position requires adherence to specifications for packaging and labeling, including physically inspecting materials for defects and reporting any suspicious or abnormal situations to supervisors. For material handler tasks, responsibilities include checking in and unloading deliveries, managing inventory, and operating a pallet jack. The ability to work and rotate between Class I & Class II positions is necessary.

Requirements

Familiarity with product codes and packaging requirements.
Familiarity with operating a box making machine.
Ability to set up equipment properly, efficiently, and make adjustments.
Ability to know and complete necessary paperwork.
Knowledge of CFS labeling/scanners and ability to operate them properly (if applicable).
Ability to maintain and store packaging materials safely and sanitarily.
Ability to follow written specifications for packaging and labeling.
Ability to physically inspect packaging materials for defects.
Ability to identify and report suspicious or abnormal situations.
Responsibility for helping check-in and unload deliveries (for material handler).
Responsibility for checking inventory (for material handler).
Ability to operate a pallet jack (for material handler).

Responsibilities

Operate a box making machine.
Perform all tasks within the Box Room department.
Set up equipment properly and efficiently.
Make adjustments to equipment as necessary.
Complete necessary paperwork associated with machinery and job duties.
Operate CFS labeling/scanners (if applicable).
Keep CFS cabinets clean and orderly.
Maintain and store packaging materials in a safe and sanitary manner.
Follow written specifications for packaging and labeling products.
Physically inspect packaging materials for defects (e.g., foreign matter, rips, damage, incorrect labels).
Identify and report any suspicious or abnormal situations to immediate supervisor or plant management official (e.g., product tampering, willful product adulteration, equipment malfunction).
Help check-in and unload deliveries (for material handler).
Check inventory (for material handler).
Operate a pallet jack (for material handler).
Perform other duties as assigned.
Work and rotate on Class I & Class II positions.
