About The Position

Angel of the Winds, the World’s Friendliest Casino Resort, is seeking a Bowling Mechanic to maintain center equipment, train technicians, and ensure the highest level of operating proficiency for all bowling center equipment. This role requires exceptional guest service, a positive attitude, and adherence to company values. The Bowling Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining pinspotters/setters, automatic scoring equipment, lanes, and other bowling center equipment, managing parts inventory, and ensuring a clean and safe working environment. They will also respond to customer complaints, train technicians on safety procedures, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.

Requirements

  • Exceptional guest service skills are required.
  • Combination of education and 5-10 years of experience working as a mechanic or maintenance technician in a customer service-oriented environment.
  • Has experience working with belt driven mechanically timed systems and understands the mechanics/has ability to repair belt systems.
  • Ability to maintain professional, courteous, and effective working relationships with all levels of the organization and outside business contacts.
  • Proven intermediate skills in Windows, MS Office Programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), and experience with database systems.
  • Ability to prepare reports, correspondence, charts, forms and other information and instructions.
  • Knowledgeable in bowling operations - 1 year of experience required.
  • Must be customer service oriented and have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to multi-task and work independently.
  • Ability to work in a challenging environment dealing with sensitive issues and maintain confidentially with strong attention to detail and excellent problem solving, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of MSDS, OSHA requirements, and biohazard clean up and disposal.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Class B gaming license with the Stillaguamish Tribal Gaming Agency.
  • Technical certificate in an industrial related field.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining the center equipment under the direction of the Manager and/or Bowling Supervisor.
  • Training Tech’s and new hires, working with the Bowling Manager/and or Supervisor to ensure they are following a documented training schedule and progressively building their Bowling technician skills in a 16 lane center.
  • Creating Tech break schedules and filling in when needed to cover the shifts for Tech PTO/Call out coverage.
  • Assisting in maintaining pinspotters/setters, automatic scoring equipment, lanes and all other bowling center equipment at the highest level of operating proficiency.
  • Maintaining and replenishing correct parts inventory by recording machine repairs and parts used.
  • Following established Preventive maintenance program.
  • Maintaining a clean work area and a safe working environment.
  • Responding to customer complaints about machine malfunction; analyzes the mechanism to find the root of the problem.
  • Training Tech’s to abide by the Machine Area Safety Procedures and Standards of Operation.
  • Following and ensuring that Policies and Procedures of the Bowling property and Casino Operation are followed.
  • Ensuring compliance with Tribal, State, Federal regulations.
  • Ensuring control/protection of company assets.
  • Communicating in a clear and professional manner.
  • Working well with others and taking feedback well.
  • Getting in, out and on top of machines with the ability to perform repairs/maintenance in constrained area.
  • Working and concentrating in a loud and chaotic environment.
  • Working with Tech's to create and maintain a daily/weekly and annual preventative maintenance calendar.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Understanding belt driven mechanically timed systems.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
