About The Position

The Bowling Mechanic performs tasks required to maintain Bowling equipment of the Starlight Lanes. This role involves performing preventive and corrective maintenance on bowling equipment, including pin setters and lanes, troubleshooting computerized systems, and ensuring the overall functionality and appearance of the bowling center. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least one-year experience in the field of bowling machinery/ mechanics.
  • Must have working knowledge of pin setters and automatic scoring devices.
  • A smartphone capable of running company applications and communication systems is required.
  • All employees are required to proficiently use a smartphone for company applications, email, and text.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Pueblo of Santa Ana Gaming and Regulatory Commission non-gaming license.
  • Display strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to handle conflict situations.
  • Must be a detail oriented, organized individual with the ability to multi-task.
  • Must have the ability to understand procedures and gaming regulations and adhere to them.
  • Must have the ability to read, analyze and interpret basic instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

Responsibilities

  • Performs preventive and corrective maintenance of the GSX machine (pin setter)
  • Performs preventative and corrective maintenance on the bowling lanes to include stripping, applying lane conditioner, and buffing.
  • Mops and buffs the lane approaches.
  • Troubleshoots computerized systems of the bowling center lane computers to clear malfunctions, make necessary adjustments and repairs, as necessary.
  • Replace and/or rebuild parts associated with bowling equipment (to include welding, as needed).
  • Maintain and replace customer seats.
  • Maintain and repair cosmic lights and fogger machine.
  • Perform pin maintenance and cleaning, as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
