About The Position

This position is for the 2026-2027 Bowling Head Coach for the Boys' team. The role involves planning, organizing, and conducting practices, developing game strategies, teaching fundamental skills, and supervising student-athletes. The coach will also be responsible for promoting discipline and sportsmanship, ensuring compliance with athletic regulations, and maintaining communication with parents and guardians. Additionally, the coach will provide mentorship on personal development and college opportunities, enforce school policies, and perform other related duties.

Requirements

Prior coaching experience.
Valid Florida teaching certificate or valid Department of Education athletic coaching certificate.
Valid FHSAA certification.
Valid Adult and Child First Aid/CPR/AED certificate issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Valid Florida Driver’s License.
Knowledge of the sport’s rules, techniques, and safety practices.
Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
Ability to collaborate with school staff, parents, and community partners.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and during school breaks as needed.

Nice To Haves

Coaching experience in the assigned or a closely related sport.
Experience mentoring youth and fostering a positive team culture.
Familiarity with academic eligibility requirements for student-athletes.

Responsibilities

Assist with planning, organizing, and conducting regular practice sessions.
Develop and implement game strategies and tactics.
Teach fundamental skills, techniques, and sports rules to student-athletes.
Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, and school-sponsored trips.
Promote discipline, responsibility, and good sportsmanship among players.
Ensure compliance with school, district, and state athletic regulations.
Assist with maintenance of team equipment and uniforms.
Assist with scheduling and facility use.
Maintain open communication with parents and guardians.
Provide mentorship and guidance to student-athletes on personal development and college opportunities.
Enforce all school policies and codes of conduct.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
