About The Position

The Boutique Sales Representative at Houston International Airport provides excellent and specialized customer service by engaging with clients to best understand their needs. International Shoppes is all about delivering the best service and product assortment to the traveling public since 1951. We are proud to operate across some of the nation's busiest and most dynamic airports, serving travelers from coast to coast. Our current locations include New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in Terminals 1, 4, and 5; Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) in Terminal B; Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) in Concourse A-B; Bradley International Airport (BDL) in Connecticut’s Main Terminal; and Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) in Terminal D. As part of our continued growth and expansion, we are excited to welcome several newly acquired operations to our network, including Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL) in Honolulu, Kahului Airport (OGG) in Maui, and additional operations at JFK Terminal 4 with our business partner, ARI. Together, we are New York Duty Free. This expanding footprint reflects our commitment to delivering exceptional service in premier travel destinations across the United States. Requirements

  • Acting and thinking first of the client and their experience, you have an in-depth knowledge of the desires, needs and expectations of luxury clients.
  • Being a master of storytelling and the art of asking engaging questions.
  • Previous luxury retail sales experience required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers, peers and management.
  • Ability to multi-task while being attentive to customers and remaining flexible to the needs of the business.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independent of direct supervision.
  • Minimum of 2 years of luxury retail experience
  • Valid passport required, subject to International and/ or Domestic travel.
  • Strong selling capabilities and notable customer service skills
  • Elevated ability to communicate effectively both written and orally
  • Talented negotiation prowess with a passion for the art of selling
  • Ability to attend team meetings and / or brand trainings.
  • Must be able to work flexible schedule throughout the week

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the merchandise features and benefits to maximize the sale opportunity
  • Create a long-term authentic bond with clients by making them feel the experience is truly about them.
  • Demonstrate active leadership on the selling floor, to drive individual and team objectives and be accountable for sales results.
