Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience (or equivalent training) in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Mechanical aptitude with a strong understanding of safe equipment operation
  • Experience with packaging quality standards and inspections
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in bottling, canning, packaging, millwright, refrigeration, or production line operations ideal
  • Working knowledge of HACCP and food safety systems (audit experience is an asset)
  • Forklift certification or willingness to obtain is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Operate fillers, rinsers, labelers, packers, and carbonation/carbocooler systems throughout the bottling process
  • Perform required validations, checks, and documentation to ensure quality and line readiness
  • Support bottling, canning, and packaging activities including loading/unloading bottles, labeling, hand-packing, palletizing, and rework
  • Inspect packaging materials and finished goods to ensure quality and appearance standards are met
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment
  • Perform routine inventory counts and assist with tracking packaging materials
  • Complete line setups, start-ups, changeovers, and shutdowns across bottling, canning, and packaging lines
  • Perform hot water and chemical sanitization of fillers, filter housings, and rinsers
  • Monitor line performance and quality; make PLC inputs and mechanical adjustments to optimize output
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce downtime
  • Support maintenance during scheduled and unscheduled shutdowns
  • Participate in the upkeep and maintenance of bottling and packaging areas
  • Coordinate line activities to meet production schedules through clear, frequent communication
  • Act as Packaging Lead, supporting daily production flow and troubleshooting issues
  • Train, mentor, and support other team members
  • Participate in qualification programs and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Follow and promote safe work practices at all times
  • Report hazards, near misses, and incidents promptly
  • Adhere to SOPs, GMPs, and quality standards
  • Support HACCP programs and food safety controls
  • Participate in internal and external audits, including preparation and corrective actions
