About The Position

Operates Bore Machine ensuring quality outcome on furniture. Reads daily production schedule and gathers parts as needed. Determines which boring machine is the one that needs to be used for part on schedule. Reads dimensions on ticket and sets up boring machine accordingly. Sets up depth and diameter of hole/holes being bored - in most cases it is necessary to find and match parts. Runs part and loads onto shop buggy and takes to the next operation needed. Observes plant safety rules. Keeps work area clean and is quality conscious in performing duties. Performs other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous Bore Machine experience preferred
• Must be able to walk, stand, climb, stoop, twist, push, pull, and bend over the course of 8 hours
• Must be able to work in noisy environments
• Must be able to read route sheets
• Frequently lifting/carrying objects up to 5 lbs; up to 25 lbs. with assistance
• Must be able to push/pull up to 100 with assistance
• Must be able to load trucks
