About The Position

Requirements

  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL-A) with appropriate endorsements for operating boom trucks.
  • Proven experience operating boom trucks or similar heavy lifting equipment.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and safe rigging practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret load charts and lifting plans.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor and work in various weather conditions.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in crane or boom truck operation from a recognized training program.
  • Experience working in construction, utilities, or industrial environments.
  • Familiarity with basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

  • Operate boom truck equipment to lift, move, and position materials and equipment at construction or industrial sites.
  • Conduct pre-operation inspections of the boom truck to ensure safety and functionality before use.
  • Secure loads properly and use rigging techniques to ensure safe lifting and transport.
  • Communicate effectively with site supervisors and team members to coordinate lifting operations and ensure project requirements are met.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily operations, inspections, and any incidents or maintenance needs.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and company policies during all phases of operation.
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on the boom truck to ensure optimal performance.
