About The Position
Reputable U.S.-based CPA firms are seeking experienced accounting and tax professionals to assist during tax season. This is a 100% remote position with an immediate start through the end of tax season (April 2026). The role is designed for professionals who desire flexibility and the opportunity to contribute meaningful work remotely. You will work directly with firm partners and senior CPAs to support year-end bookkeeping, monthly closes, and individual and business tax return preparation.
Requirements
- 2+ years in public accounting or tax preparation (required).
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and tax code.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in cloud-based accounting platforms.
Nice To Haves
- CPA designation or progress toward CPA is a strong plus.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns (1040, 1065, 1120, 1120S).
- Perform monthly reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.
- Communicate with clients and internal teams to ensure timely tax filings.
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).
- Maintain high attention to detail under tight deadlines.
