About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented, full time Bookkeeper to support our Accounting Department. This position is onsite at our Greenwood office. This role will report directly to the Finance Manager and will focus on maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with routine accounting tasks, and ensuring the smooth operation of our financial processes.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of bookkeeping or related accounting experience, preferably within a healthcare or medical environment.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and healthcare billing practices.
  • Familiarity with medical insurance billing and coding practices is a plus.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Record and verify daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate general ledger entries.
  • Prepare and reconcile monthly bank statements.
  • Support the preparation of financial reports for management review.
  • Organize and maintain financial documentation and files.
  • Assist with account reconciliations and variance analysis.
  • Respond to internal financial inquiries as needed.
  • Support the annual audit process by gathering required documentation.
  • Collaborate to ensure compliance with accounting policies.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support the finance function.
