About The Position

Hiring for a Bookkeeper to join a wonderful company and team! Benefits + PTO Must Have Qualifications 5+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, with a strong preference for construction industry experience Must have proficiency in QuickBooks (desktop or online) Experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll processing, and job costing. High attention to detail and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and comfort in collaborating with project managers, superintendents, and owners. Responsibilities Enter and code vendor invoices to jobs and cost codes in Accounts Payable (AP). Process payments through checks/ACH and handle vendor questions. Track W-9s, Certificates of Insurance (COIs), and subcontractor compliance. Prepare and send customer invoices and payment applications in Accounts Receivable (AR). Post customer payments and monitor aging accounts. Follow up on past-due invoices. Process weekly/biweekly payroll, review timesheets, and allocate hours by job/cost code. Maintain payroll records and support year-end reporting. Maintain accurate records in QuickBooks and perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations. Support job-cost tracking and basic month-end reporting. Keep digital files organized, including invoices, payment applications, and contracts. Work Environment This role is based in an informal, family-oriented office with a casual setting and no dress code. You will have your own desk and cubicle setup in a standard business center strip. The team consists of 28 employees, with about half working outside the office. The work schedule is flexible, allowing you to start as early as 6:00 AM or as late as 9:00 AM, as long as you complete an 8-hour day and fulfill your responsibilities. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Willowbrook, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr.
