About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial transactions and maintain accurate financial records in compliance with U.S. accounting standards. This role supports accounting operations by maintaining ledgers, reconciling accounts, and assisting with month-end and year-end close processes. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with U.S. bookkeeping practices, strong attention to detail, and proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a U.S.-based bookkeeping or accounting role
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. accounting principles and GAAP
  • Hands-on experience with QuickBooks (Online or Desktop) or similar software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage confidential financial information

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Experience with U.S. payroll systems (ADP, Gusto, Paychex, etc.)
  • Experience with sales tax filings, 1099 preparation, and W-9 processing
  • Prior experience supporting CPAs or audit processes

Responsibilities

  • Record daily financial transactions in accordance with U.S. GAAP
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
  • Reconcile bank, credit card, and general ledger accounts
  • Process invoices, vendor payments, and customer billing
  • Maintain organized and accurate financial documentation
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
  • Prepare basic financial reports including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements
  • Support payroll processing and payroll reconciliations
  • Assist with sales tax filings and compliance as needed
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external CPAs
