About The Position

Technergetics is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Part-Time Bookkeeper to support our accounting and business operations. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and experienced in maintaining accurate financial records while supporting internal controls and compliance.

Requirements

At least two years of professional bookkeeping experience.
Hands-on experience with accounting software.
Ability to work independently and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment
Understanding of standard accounting principles (GAAP) through schooling or experience
Experience with invoices, reconciliations, reporting, and month-end processes
Experience with general ledger functions
Advanced MS Excel skills

Nice To Haves

Graduation from an accredited college or university with an associate’s or higher degree in accounting, business operations, or a closely related field is preferred, but not required.
Experience with the Unanet (or similar) platform is strongly preferred.
Experience or knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
Experience supporting Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) requirements

Responsibilities

Verify, post, and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable
Produce accurate, error-free accounting reports and present results as needed
Identify discrepancies and recommend efficiency or cost-saving improvements
Prepare, review, and submit customer invoices regularly using multiple systems and/or email
Assist with timesheet administration
Prepare financial status reports, statements, forecasts, and budgets according to schedule
Gather and organize financial information as requested to support our tax attorney with estimated tax payments, tax return preparation, and audit readiness
Support month-end and year-end close processes
Comply with GAAP principles
Perform bank reconciliations
Assist with other accounting and business tasks as assigned.
