About The Position

This is a part-time position in a bookstore environment. The role involves various tasks related to stocking shelves, assisting customers, processing transactions, and handling book inventory. The work environment may not be climatically controlled, and the position requires standing or walking on concrete floors for the entire shift. Flexibility in hours, including overtime and weekends during holidays and special events, is expected.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old
Excellent communication skills and customer relation skills
Literacy and math skills
Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated
Excellent organizational skills
Must be able to work in a team atmosphere and maintain a positive attitude
Excellent attendance record

Responsibilities

Restock shelves
Service customers face to face
Operate cash register
Operate credit card machine
Operate basic warehouse equipment, ex: pallet jack, tape gun, etc.
Sort books and place in appropriate location(s)
Must be able to work safely around moving equipment
Work in a non-climatically controlled environment throughout the year
Must be able to stand/walk on concrete floors for entire shift
Fulfill donations
Prep work for community events
Adheres to facility hours to include overtime and weekends during holidays and special events (floating hours may vary each week)
Other duties as assigned
