At Materion, everyone is included, respected and offered opportunity to grow. Join us! The Bond Lab Technician is responsible for bonding or de-bonding of sputtering targets and backing plates. You will have the opportunity to: Clean and maintain targets, backing plates, and bonded assemblies Operate hot plates and ion plater Perform complex metallic and epoxy bonds Know and follow all appropriate procedures (bonding, cleaning, etc) Cleaning of targets and backing plates Cleaning of bonded assemblies Maintains bonding and cleaning records and all necessary paperwork Maintains training documents Operates hot plates, Ion plater and all hand tools used Can perform complex metallic and epoxy bonds Knows how to read drawings Maintains supplies needed for target finishing/Bond Lab Knows all functions of target finishing and bond lab Can perform SAP transactions Comply with all quality, safety and work rules and regulations Follow all clean-up and housekeeping procedures

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent plus one year of industrial training and three to twelve months of related experience
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and convert in all units of measure
Export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
The candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from having access to U.S. controlled technology (via a letter of assurance), or a Person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.
