About The Position

The Cross Family of Agencies is seeking a Bond Assistant to support Account Executives and Account Managers with administrative and customer service tasks. This position is crucial for the daily operations of the surety bond department, involving the processing of bond requests and the maintenance of client records. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and adept at working in a fast-paced setting where accuracy and responsiveness are paramount.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of customer service or administrative experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)

Responsibilities

  • Assisting existing bond processors with daily needs
  • Preparing and processing new bond requests using agency or carrier systems
  • Processing endorsements and cancellations
  • Reviewing bonds for completeness and accuracy
  • Communicating with clients, underwriters and internal staff to obtain required information and documentation to support bond transactions
  • Maintaining and updating client records and bond files in the agency management system
  • Responding to client inquiries via phone and email in a timely, professional manner
  • Supporting Account Executives and Account Managers with administrative tasks, as needed
