About The Position

Reporting to the Senior Engineer, you will work on-site at one of Conagra Brands' largest manufacturing facilities in Marshall, Missouri, supporting critical refrigeration, boiler, HVAC, and utility systems that help maintain continuous plant operations. You will troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and improve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and refrigeration equipment while ensuring safe and reliable production performance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One year of mechanic experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Electrical experience.
  • Read and write English to complete production and quality documentation.
  • Familiarity with shop equipment, electric arc welders, plasma cutters, torches, and basic hand tools.
  • Work scheduled and assigned days and hours, including required overtime.
  • Carry and push or pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, remove, install, replace, rebuild, repair, and test parts and components on plant and production equipment.
  • Perform basic welding, fabrication, and machining tasks.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and plans.
  • Troubleshoot and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems involving ammonia and other refrigerants.
  • Perform daily inspections of refrigeration systems.
  • Repair and maintain boilers, ammonia systems, coolers, air compressors, HVAC systems, and related utility equipment.
  • Clean evaporators and condensers according to established schedules.
  • Change recorder charts and maintain recording equipment.
  • Monitor, repair, and clean plant systems, water condensers, evaporators, dump traps, accumulators, sight glasses, and filtration systems.
  • Maintain mechanical equipment in safe operating condition.
  • Inspect machines and equipment, identify issues, replace defective parts, and make adjustments to support continuous production.
  • Use equipment manuals, repair manuals, parts manuals, and diagrams to troubleshoot plant and production equipment.
  • Use hand and power tools to repair, rebuild, install, and test equipment.
  • Perform electrical and pneumatic work on production machinery.
