As a Boiler Plant Operator , you’ll play a critical role in keeping our hospital running safely, efficiently, and around the clock. What You’ll Do Under the direction of the Facilities Engineering Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, and inspection of our central energy plant and boiler systems. Your work ensures a continuous supply of steam for heating, equipment power, and sterilization—supporting patient care every single day. Key responsibilities include: Performing routine rounds of the central energy plant and documenting operational readings Monitoring, troubleshooting, and responding to system malfunctions Conducting daily water chemistry testing and making necessary adjustments Preparing boilers for annual inspections and ensuring code compliance Performing preventive and corrective maintenance with detailed documentation Serving as a first responder for Facilities Engineering during off-hours Coordinating vendor access through the control room Supporting overall plant operations and safety initiatives What We’re Looking For Required: High school diploma or equivalent plus formal training in boiler plant operation or maintenance Minimum 6 years of boiler plant experience (8 years preferred) Extensive experience in Boiler Plant operations and maintenance Maryland Stationary Engineer’s License required . Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent plus formal training in boiler plant operation or maintenance
  • Minimum 6 years of boiler plant experience (8 years preferred)
  • Extensive experience in Boiler Plant operations and maintenance
  • Maryland Stationary Engineer’s License required
  • Strong working knowledge of boiler and chiller plant operations
