Stimson Lumber Company is seeking a Boiler/Kiln Operator Trainee at our St. Maries Mill who has a commitment to safety and possess great problem-solving skills. Trainees have a great opportunity to learn boiler processes and maintenance while working alongside our operators in an environment that values teamwork and accountability. Boil Operators play a key role in lading kilns, operating and maintaining high-pressure wood-fired boilers. This is a significant role for someone looking to improve their skillset and advance their careers. This position supports: Schedule: Graveyard shift, Wednesday - Saturday, 8:00 pm - 6:30 am Starting Pay: Base pay for this skilled position will start at $28.00 to $30.00 per hour. People with significant knowledge and experience may come in at a higher level. Pay Differential: This is a Graveyard shift position that comes with an additional $2.00 per hour in shift differential over your negotiated base pay. Overtime: This position is eligible for Overtime at time and a half. Healthcare: Stimson pays over 80% of the premiums for healthcare coverage for full-time employees, including medical, dental and vision. 401(k): Stimson provides a 100% match on the first 6% of your pay when you contribute to your 401(k)-retirement account. Profit Sharing: Contributions are deposited annually into your 401(k) account for Profit Sharing, up to 3% of your pay. Bonus: This position is bonus eligible and will receive a discretionary bonus in years when the company and location are profitable. Paid Time-Off: Position offers 9 paid holidays and 2 weeks of paid vacation. Paid sick leave is available up to 40 hours per year.
