Requirements

• Previous experience as a Boiler Mechanic, Boiler Technician, Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, or similar role.
• Strong hands-on experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial boiler systems.
• Knowledge of boilers, burners, pumps, valves, piping, controls, and related mechanical equipment.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, equipment manuals, and technical specifications.
• Experience performing preventative and corrective maintenance in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of workplace safety practices, including lockout/tagout procedures.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize repairs, and respond effectively to equipment breakdowns.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with electrical and control systems associated with boiler operation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial boiler systems and associated equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on boilers, burners, pumps, valves, piping, controls, and related mechanical systems.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, combustion, and control-related issues affecting boiler performance.
• Perform boiler start-ups, shutdowns, adjustments, testing, and routine operational checks.
• Inspect boiler components for leaks, corrosion, wear, pressure issues, and other potential failures.
• Troubleshoot and repair pumps, motors, valves, piping systems, and other supporting equipment.
• Monitor boiler operating conditions, including pressure, temperature, water levels, and combustion performance.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.
• Complete preventative maintenance according to established schedules and document repairs and maintenance performed.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and work efficiently to minimize production downtime.
• Follow all applicable safety procedures, lockout/tagout requirements, and facility policies when servicing equipment.
• Promptly report equipment concerns, safety hazards, and significant maintenance issues to supervisors.
