About The Position

The Utility Worker is essential to keeping Brickstone Brewhouse’s kitchen running smoothly by maintaining cleanliness, supporting food preparation, and ensuring all equipment is in good working order. This role supports the entire kitchen team to ensure a safe and efficient environment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-temperature environment.
• Frequently stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Regularly perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, or reaching.
• Ability to work in a high-heat, high-pressure environment.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in a restaurant kitchen.
• Familiarity with commercial dishwashing equipment.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Team-oriented with a willingness to assist wherever needed.
• Reliable and consistent with a focus on maintaining a clean, efficient kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning & Sanitation: Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment according to health and safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness in all kitchen areas, including sweeping, mopping, and trash removal.
• Food Prep Support: Assist with basic food preparation tasks, such as chopping, peeling, or portioning ingredients.
• Restock supplies and ingredients as needed during service.
• Equipment Maintenance: Monitor and report any issues with kitchen equipment to the Sous Chef or Executive Chef.
• Ensure proper storage and care of tools and supplies.
• Health & Safety Compliance: Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and chemical use.
